EISSPORTZENTRUM HERZOGENRIED (EZH) – MANNHEIM        
How to come to the ice-rink

Coming from the North on Highway A6:

Coming from Frankfurt direction Mannheim/Basel .

Leave Highway A6 at the „Autobahnkreuz Viernheim“  take direction Mannheim-Käfertal.

You come to highway  B38 and go on in direction "Mannheim-Mitte" for about 5 km.
B38 is becoming a normal street. After about 5 km you see on your right side an US-Army-Area and a Hospital for Children „Kinderklinik Haus2“.

After that building you come to a  big crossing (church on the left side) and infront of you there is a sign with the name of the rink „Eissportzentrum Herzogenried“, follow that sign,

leave B38 and go right along „Carl-Benz-Strasse“ (Speed limit 30!).

Go on up to the crossing with "Max-Josef-Strasse", on your right side is another church,

go right and at the very end of that street there is a big place and in front of you you can see the rink  EZH .

Coming from the South on Highway A6:

Coming from Basel/Stuttgart/Karlsruhe direction Mannheim/Frankfurt.

You leave Highway A6 at the „Autobahnkreuz Viernheim“ and go on on highway B38.

Now see above, same way as coming from the North.
 

Coming from the West on Highway A61:

Coming from Saarbrücken/Koblenz/Ludwigshafen.

possibility a)
Leave Highway A61 at „Autobahnkreuz Frankenthal“ and go on on Highway A6. 

You cross the river Rhein and follow A6 in direction Basel. Leave A6 at "Autobahnkreuz
Viernheim“ and go on on Highway B38. Now see above, same way as coming from the
North.

possibility b)
Leave Highway A61 at „Autobahnkreuz Ludwigshafen“ and go on on Highway A650
in direction „Ludwigshafen Zentrum/Mitte - Mannheim“.
At the end of that highway stay on the left line and follow this line. You cross two bridges (first with robes, second over the river Rhein) at the end of the second bridge you go left (Castle in front of you) and follow that road always straight.

You are passing a small bridge, at the end of that bridge is a church on your left side and before       that church at the traffic light take the street on the left side „Seilerstrasse“, follow this street and go on on the left line.
     
You are crossing river Neckar and come to a gasoline station „BP“ (green and yellow color).

Leave the main street before that gasoline station  and go right following „Zeppelin Strasse“.

At the end of that street you come to a crossing with a traffic light, pass that crossing, in front of you is a big place. At the end of that place on the left side you see the rink „EZH“.
 

Coming by airplane via Frankfurt Airport:

possibility a)
Take the „Lufthansa Airport bus to Mannheim“ .
This bus stop is at Terminal 1  in front of arrival  area B .
First stop is Mannheim Lufthansa Office.
From there take a taxi or the tram (no. 3) to the „Neuer Messplatz“.
Leave the tram at the stop „Neuer Messplatz“ and cross the big place.
At the end of that place on the left side you see the ice-rink EZH.

possibility b)
Take the train to Mannheim from Airport-Railway station „Fernbahnhof“ in Terminal 1.
Leave the train at Mannheim Main station „Hauptbahnhof Mannheim“.
From there take a taxi or the tram to the „Neuer Messplatz“ see above coming by plane.

Coming by train:

Take the train to Mannheim and leave the train at Main station "Hauptbahnhof Mannheim".

From there take a taxi or tram to the stop „Neuer Messplatz“.
